Christina was in the hospital when she was eliminated from Idol and told moli.com in a 2007 interview that “it was my time. I needed to go home. My body was physically drained. I was so exhausted.” She also told the interviewer she was one of four Idols from season one to be signed to a recording contract, though it apparently did not result in a CD release. After Idol, Christina married longtime boyfriend Nicholas Cewe, covered Idol for TV Guide and, according to americanidol.com, appeared on the TV shows “CSI” and “Burn Notice.” She has a son and was still performing as of June 2009, appearing at a Boyton Beach, Fla., benefit concert for an organization known as microgiving.com. And you won’t find it on iTunes, but there’s a YouTube performance of Christina singing a song called “Hypnotized.” It’s embedded below.
