How has York’s restaurant week been so far?
York Restaurant Week is almost over … what have you thought of it so far?
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to participate in the first few days, but I am doing my best to play a little catch-up before it comes to a close Saturday.
I hit up Maewyn’s on Wednesday for lunch. The potato leak soup was out of this world and the steak sandwich on a buttered roll was not only delicious, it was HUGE! Definitely a great deal for $10!
Yesterday, I wandered over to Central Market and grabbed the spicy chicken wrap from Bair’s Fried Chicken. I had never eaten at Bair’s before, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to try something new. The wrap was flavorful and filling and the brownie that came with it was soft and chewy. I was pretty pleased.
If you haven’t ventured out to any of the restaurant’s participating in Restaurant Week, you have until tomorrow, so you can fit in a couple of lunches and dinners!

I’m biased, but I am thoroughly enjoying Restaurant Week. I’ve visited 14 establishments so far… and counting! I was even able to try two places for the first time ever. I love seeing the excitement, both from the participating restaurants and from the diners who are eating out!
