Registration opens for swim lessons in Red Lion

The Red Lion community swimming program will conduct registration for the winter session swimming lessons, 6-8 p.m. Nov. 21 and 22 in the Red Lion Area Senior High School pool lobby. A full range of Red Cross courses will be offered from Level 1 to Level 6.

Registration on Monday, Nov. 21, is for Red Lion Area School District residents currently enrolled in lessons. Registration on Tuesday, Nov. 22, is 6-7 p.m. for Red Lion Area School District residents only, and from 7-8 p.m. for Red Lion Area School District residents and non-residents.

The 30-minute swimming classes meet between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays for 10 consecutive weeks beginning Monday, Dec. 5.

The cost is $30 for residents and $40 for non-residents. Students must have a current pool membership card.

  1. what are the descriptions of the levels (1 to 6)
    my kids have taken “swim classes” before but they were more like Mommy and me classes where I was inthe pool with them and they were still babies. They are now 4 and 6 and my 6 year old can tread water but doesn’t put his head under water at all to “swim” SHould they both start with Level 1???
