Kids will create themselves at 4-day art classes
You’re a Work of Art, a four-day art session for children ages 5-12 will be held July 30-Aug. 2 at the York Art Association, 220 S. Marshall St., Springettsbury Township.
The young artists will explore different methods of “portraiture,” working with pastels, paints, patterned paper, and jewelry-making materials. Each project will focus around creating a portrait of themselves or a loved one in different ways.
Instructor Rebecca Brodbeck will help campers explore how they see themselves in an expressive, artistic way.
Classes are 9-10:30 a.m. for ages 5-8, and 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for ages 9-12.
Registration is open through July 23. Cost for the week is $40.
