Art, literary entries due by Aug. 1 for Yorkfest
The deadline for the youth competitions at Yorkfest Fine Arts Festival is Wednesday, Aug. 1. All entries must be delivered by 1 p.m. to the YorkArts gallery, 10 N. Beaver St.
The Yorkfest Youth Juried Art and Literary Competitions are open to youth age 17 and under. Children may submit up to three entries for the juried art competition and one entry per category for the literary competition. Poetry entries may not exceed 30 lines and short stories may not exceed 2,500 words.

Each competition is judged based on three age groups: 7 and younger, 8 to 12, and 13 to 17. Awards will be given to the first, second and third place winners in each age group.
All entries will be on display Aug. 23 tto Sept. 1 at YorkArts@CityArt, 118 W. Philadelphia St. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
