Free acrobatic show for families and workshops for kids

A free, live performance by the Acrovan Israeli Acrobats will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the York Jewish Community Center, 2000 Hollywood Drive. Light refreshments will be served.

The team is renowned for its choreography, incredible aerobatics and its integration of kids of all ages and levels. The choreography incorporates symbols of Israel and uses both modern and traditional Israeli music. The team includes gymnasts ages 8-18.

Also, free acrobatic workshops for kids will be held on Friday, Aug. 3. Learn pyramid structure, basic acrobatics and play games in the gym. Registration must be made in person at the JCC front desk. Workshop times are:

– Kindergarten to Grade 2: 10:30-11:15 a.m. and 1:15-2 p.m.

– Grades 3 to 6: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2:15-3:15 p.m.
