Cadette Girl Scouts from York earn Silver Awards
Two 13-year-old members of Cadette Girl Scout Troop 21611 of The Girls In The Heart of PA of York County, Springettsbury Township, received Silver Awards on June 4. The achievement is the highest award that can be earned by a Cadette Girl Scout and requires at least 50 service hours.
To earn the award, Katelyn Nicholson completed the construction of a canopy table for the York County Park System and volunteered throughout York County with a total of 70 service hours. She has been a Scout for eight years.
Keli Watson completed her project by initiating a bood reading and craft program at Kreutz Creek Valley Library. She completed at least 50 hours of service.
