Family fun at New Freedom Fest

The New Freedom Fest, a free, old-time “festival of small town life, opens at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 in downtown New Freedom.

The event features music, arts and crafts, animals, food, games, dunking booths, a pie eating contest, kids games and more.

The all-day kids games and hands-on activities will include arts and crafts, water wars, face painting, rain gutter regatta, and more.

There will also be a Pet Parade at 2 p.m. to benefit Animal Rescue Inc. featuring costumed animals and their owners.
