What stories won? Find out Sept. 18-20
After reading and judging more than 100 entries, the Junior Dispatch is set to announce the winners of its creative writing contest held over the summer.
The winners will be revealed next week, with a new set of winners announced Tuesday through Thursday:
- Tuesday, Sept. 18 – Third-place winners announced ($10 movie gift card and $10 gift certificate from the York Emporium).
- Wednesday, Sept. 19 -- Second-place winners announced ($20 movie gift card and $20 gift certificate from the York Emporium).
- Thursday, Sept. 20 – First-place winners announced ($50 movie gift card and $50 gift certificate from the York Emporium).
The contest, which asked kids up to age 18 to write about alien life forms, featured three different age categories (Ages 7 and under, ages 8 to 12 and ages 13 to 18).
The winners will get their prizes in a special ceremony at The York Emporium.
