Free family festival is Saturday in York City
Friendship Shalom Community will present a free Health and Wholeness Family Festival, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, in the parking lots of Asbury United Methodist Church, 340 E. Market St.
FSC is a collaborative effort of churches, neighborhood centers, agencies and organizations in the Northeast and Olde Towne East areas of York City. Since October 2011, members have provided tutoring to Good Elementary School students, conducted four job search skills training workshops and co-sponsored the Northeast Neighborhood Block Party. The organization’s goal is to bring transformation and unity to the community.
