Littlestown Band Boosters to host competition
The Littlestown Band Boosters will host the annual Festival of Bands Competition on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Littlestown Memorial Field.
The competition begins at 6 p.m. with Littlestown’s Maple Avenue Middle School’s Gold Band playing the National Anthem. This will be followed by bands from York Catholic, Red Lion, New Oxford, James Bucahanan and Francis Scott Key high schools.
The Littlestown Blue Band will then perform in exhibition followed by an awards ceremony at 8 p.m.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. There will be a full-service concession stand, candy and flower grams, baked goods, T-shirts and Rita’s Italian Ice.
The rain site is Littlestown High School.
