Growing Up Wild workshop for educators

York County Parks and RecreationThe York County Department of Parks and Recreation and the Pennsylvania Game Commission will be sponsoring a Growing Up Wild educator workshop from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, March 8, at Richard M. Nixon County Park.

This new Project Wild Program is geared for educators of children ages 3 through 7. Through this indoor/outdoor, hands-on workshop participants will learn about Pennsylvania wildlife while exploring materials and methods to engage children in learning about the environment.

Participants will receive a Growing Up Wild teacher’s manual; Act 48 and PQAS/DPW credits are available. Participants must supply their own lunch and beverage. The cost of the workshop is $10.
