Sealant Saturday is March 2 at York Tech
Sealant Saturday, featuring free dental examinations and dental sealants for children ages 6–16, will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at York County School of Technology, 2179 S. Queen St.
Sealants are a good investment for a child’s oral health and will help prevent tooth decay during cavity-prone years. Applying sealants is a simple, painless procedure that is very inexpensive compared to the conventional methods of drilling and filling a cavity.
Teeth determined to already have decay (a cavity) will not be eligible for sealant placement. Local hygienists will be giving free oral hygiene instructions and home care kits to all children.
The event is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists’ Association and Dentsply Professional of York.
No appointments are necessary. Children will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
