York Adventist Christian School hosted a week-long Fill the Bus community food drive during its annual Spirit Week. A collection of more than 500 non-perishable food items and 400 personal care supplies benefited the York County Food Bank.

York Adventist Christian School is a Pre-K through 8th grade program serving York County families seeking an education for their children that emphasizes academics, development of self-discipline and work ethic, service to the community, and Bible-based character growth. York Adventist Christian School, 2220 Roosevelt Ave., will hold an open house for prospective students, 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8.

Students will have the opportunity to experience a multi-grade setting where the student to teacher ratio averages 6:1. Parents interested in a Christian school education can attend the informal meet-and-greet to gather information about curriculum and student life, meet the principal, teachers and students, and ask questions.

The school, which has been in operation 62 years, has an all-day pre-kindergarten and kindergarten through eighth grade classes. Extracurricular activities are also available.

Those interested in participating in the tour should call 764-5603 to confirm their attendance. If unable to attend, a separate tour can be arranged for a later date.

The week-long event will begin Feb. 13. Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate by bringing in-date, non-perishable food items to the school at 2220 Roosevelt Ave., York.
