York Haven Elementary School’s teachers, staff and principal will work behind the counter and in the lobby of the Manchester McDonald’s from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, to raise funds for the school’s educational programs.

Students, parents, grandparents and community members are invited to dine at McDonald’s in support of the school. Diners will need a coupon, available at all of the Northeastern School District schools, in order for a portion of the sales to benefit the elementary school. Coupons will be sent home with students on May 20.

Sara Lynham, center, manager at the McDonald’s location in Manchester, presents teachers from York Haven Elementary with a check for $627.44. In May, the teachers took orders from behind the counter for 2-1/2 hours during the McTeacher Night fundraiser. A percentage of the proceeds from that time period benefited the school. Many students and their parents came out to have dinner and see the teachers in action.
