Why I want to live in the White House

Kristi Saylor submitted these White House stories from her fourth- to sixth-grade classroom at York Learning Center/Lions Pride Academy.

Mason Reisinger
Grade 6
I would like to live at the White House because I like the 15 bathrooms, 200 bedrooms, and good food. I want to have my own employees. I want to become the president.

Michael Muldrow
Grade 5
THE WHITE HOUSE
I want live in the white house to hang out with the man. Also to use his bowling alley. STRIKE!
Also to use his pool and bathroom.
Another thing I like about the White House is there is enough rooms for my whole family to live there. Also I want to ask the president some questions. Other things I want to see are the kitchen, his office, and secret service. I want to ask his kids questions and to play on the front lawn! Also to observe.

Shayquan Keener
Grade 6
If could live in the white House, I would play in the swimming pool.
I would decorate the white House, put plants on the windows, to make it look better.
I would put a mini refriderater in where I sit. It is where they have meetings.
I would have three or four guards with me where ever I go just in case.
I would paint my room red, white, and blue with the stars from the whole flag.
Since they already have a bowling alley at the white house, when they do not have anything for me to do — boring — I would go there and play a few games.

Lewis Gilkes
Grade 4
I would like to live in the White House. It has a swimming pool. My mom would not have to work. My sister would be able to pay for college and I could buy my own toys. My mom could buy anything she wants and so could my sister. I would have a pool table and a skateboard too.

Quintir Simmons
Grade 4
If I could live in the White House with my dad I would redecorate. So it could look wonderful. I think it would be great to live in the White House because you get to play and do anything. You got your own swimming pool and bowling alley to play with.

Jacob Washington
Grade 4
If I could live in the White House, I would change it around. I would make me a garage. I would put three bathrooms in the garage. I would put 6 refrigerators in the White House. I would build a pool in the front room. I would make a school by the house and a basketball court in the house.

Aaron Bazemore
Grade 4
I would like to live in the White House because I can have more room to play outside. I can play bowling every day. Nobody would know my address and I would have my own room plus my own bathroom. I would decorate my own Christmas tree. I would have my own shower. I could go to the indoor pool every day. I could decorate my room any way I want to.
