Lineman from Colorado is Penn State’s newest recruit
Penn State has gone all the way to Colorado to pick up its latest football recruit.
Joey O’Connor, a 6-foot, 4-inch, 285-pound offensive lineman from Windsor has given a verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions.
He becomes the 11th member of PSU’s 2012 recruiting class. Nine of those 11 recruits are linemen.
O’Connor is rated a four-star recruit, on a five-star scale, by recruiting service Rivals.com. Scout.com rates him as a three-star recruit.
O’Connor reportedly had offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, UCLA, Utah, Tennessee and Colorado State.
